Akamá is a proud member of the Mallorca Preservation Foundation, an organization dedicated to the conservation of the island’s natural beauty, biodiversity, and cultural heritage. In 2022, Studio Akamá was awarded the official recognition of "Interés General" by the Spanish government for its social, economic and environmental contribution, reflecting a practice built on responsibility: sustaining local jobs, supporting regional craftsmanship, advancing sustainable architecture and generating lasting economic value.

INTERNATIONAL PASSIVHAUS ASSOCIATION
Akamá is a member of the International Passivhaus Association, a global network that promotes energy-efficient building design based on the Passivhaus standard. This rigorous methodology ensures outstanding energy performance, thermal comfort, and reduced environmental impact.
As part of our commitment, we are actively working on several Passivhaus-certified projects, integrating cutting-edge solutions to create buildings that meet the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability.
As part of the Green Building Council, we embrace internationally recognized best practices in sustainable architecture and urban development. The council promotes strategies for reducing the carbon footprint of buildings, enhancing indoor environmental quality, and optimizing resource efficiency.
